Mercuro, T. John, M.D.,F.A.C.C.
Dr. John Mercuro completed his undergraduate education at Rutgers College in 1980.  He then received his medical degree from Rutgers University, U.M.D.M.J. in 1985.  His internship and residency were served at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Affiliated Hospitals.  He completed his cardiology fellowship at University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, Presbyterian Philadelphia Heart Institute. Dr. Mercuro founded Princeton Interventional Cardiology, P.A. in 1993 and has maintained his cardiology practice in Princeton, New Jersey since that time.  

Dr. Mercuro became Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases in 1988, and Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology in 1991. He maintains certification as an Instructor for Advanced Cardiac Life Support.  He holds the position of Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at U.M.D.N.J. Robert Wood Johnson Medical School since 1991 and Adjunct Professor, Cardiology Section at Temple University Medical School, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania since 2007.  He held the position of Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Department at the University Medical Center at Princeton from 1996 to 2015.  Dr. Mercuro has performed over 2,500 diagnostic catheterizations.  His elective interventional cases are performed at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Beattie, James R., M.D.,F.A.C.C.
Dr. James R. Beattie completed his undergraduate education at Georgetown University in 1986, obtaining a degree in Biology.  He then received his medical degree at The University of Rochester in 1990.  His internship and residency were served at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia and he completed his fellowship in Cardiology at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA.  Dr. Beattie joined Princeton Interventional Cardiology, P.A. in 1996.

Dr. Beattie specializes in clinical cardiology, including coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation and valvular heart disease, and has expertise in all aspects of echocardiography.  He became Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases in 1997 and Board Certified in Echocardiography in 2000.  He holds the position as Clinical Instructor at University of Medicine and Dentistry, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School since 2000 and is extremely active in the training of medical students.  He has been Director of the Echocardiography Lab at the University Medical Center at Princeton since 2003.  Dr. Beattie is the Director of the Echocardiography Lab at Princeton Interventional Cardiology and is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography.  
Passalaris, John D., M.D.,F.A.C.C.
Dr. John D. Passalaris completed his undergraduate education at Williams College in 1990.   He then received his Medical Degree from State University of New York in 1997.  His internship and residency were served at New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center in New York, New York.  Dr. Passalaris was Chief Medical Resident at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York from 1997-1998.  He completed his cardiology fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Cornell Medical Center, New York, New York in 2001.  Dr. Passalaris joined Princeton Interventional Cardiology, P.A. in 2002.  

Dr. Passalaris specializes in clinical cardiology and has expertise in all aspects of Nuclear Cardiology.  He became Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and Board Certified in Echocardiography in 2001.  Dr. Passalaris also received his Board Certification in Nuclear Cardiology in 2004.  He holds the position of Clinical Instructor at University of Medicine and Dentistry, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School since 2007.  Dr. Passalaris has held the position of Section Chief Cardiology at the University Medical Center at Princeton as well as serving on the Executive Committee for the University Medical Center at Princeton.  He is the Director of the Nuclear Laboratory for Princeton Interventional Cardiology, P.A.  Dr. Passalaris has been extremely instrumental in obtaining the ICANL Accreditation for our lab and remains active in maintaining this excellence of care.
